At the age of 14 he already told his parents: “I want to be a cook”. Since that determination, Mikel has carried out his career in two unique buildings, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the Kursaal Congress Centre.
It was in 2000 when Mikel entered for the first time in the kitchens of Kursaal and in 2009, his career took a new turn. Together with Bixente Arrieta (IXO group) present a new gastronomic proposal: ni neu restaurant in the Kursaal Congress Centre, offering an innovative concept of restaurant industry and bringing haute cuisine closer to society.
At ni neu Mikel develops accesible and nouvelle cuisine. Dishes full of taste and esthetically pleasing.
His entrepreneur spirit and ability to manage teams are the key to carry out a cookery according to services and different spaces as the Kursaal Congress Centre and ni neu.
